As of September 2026, a new Chanel Classic Flap in Malaysia is reported at about RM 51,080 for the Small, RM 53,150 for the Medium/Large and RM 57,280 for the Jumbo. The same bags, authenticated and pre-owned, have sold at Glampot for RM 15,500 to RM 27,899 (Medium/Large) and RM 10,579 to RM 22,079 (Jumbo). Chanel raised prices in the US and Europe on 2 April 2026 but left Malaysian ringgit prices unchanged. Below is every price we can verify — and what these bags actually change hands for here.
What a Chanel Bag Costs New in Malaysia (2026)
Chanel's Malaysian site shows prices for some pieces, but not for the full handbag range, and the house does not issue a complete price list — so there is no single published source for what every bag costs here. The figures below are from Bragmybag's Malaysia price tracker, read on 13 September 2026. Treat them as the market's best public estimate rather than a boutique quotation — if you are buying new, the counter at Pavilion, Suria KLCC or TRX is the only authority.
| Model | Reported Malaysian boutique price (Sep 2026) |
|---|---|
| Mini Square Classic Flap | RM 24,500 |
| Mini Rectangular Classic Flap | RM 25,550 |
| Small Classic Flap | RM 51,080 |
| Medium / Large Classic Flap (the 11.12) | RM 53,150 |
| Jumbo Classic Flap | RM 57,280 |
| Maxi Classic Flap | RM 60,370 |
| 2.55 Reissue, 225 | RM 53,150 |
| 2.55 Reissue, 226 | RM 57,280 |
| Small Boy | RM 31,480 |
| Old Medium Boy | RM 34,830 |
| New Medium Boy | RM 36,650 |
| Chanel 19, medium | RM 33,550 |
| Chanel 19, large | RM 36,650 |
| Chanel 19, maxi | RM 39,990 |
| Chanel 22, mini | RM 25,550 |
| Chanel 22, small | RM 28,350 |
| Chanel 22, medium | RM 31,300 |
| Classic Wallet on Chain (WOC) | RM 17,700 |
Did Chanel raise prices in 2026?
Yes — but not here. Chanel adjusted prices on 2 April 2026, lifting US prices by roughly 2–5% and European prices by 2–4%; the US Medium/Large Classic Flap went from US$11,300 to US$11,700. Malaysia was one of the markets left alone: the ringgit price of the M/L Classic Flap is reported as unchanged at RM 53,150 in both 2025 and 2026. Singapore and Hong Kong did see increases. So the often-repeated line that 'Chanel went up again this year' is true globally and false locally, at least for now.
What Chanel Actually Sells for Pre-Owned in Malaysia
Asking prices tell you what a seller hopes for. Sold prices tell you what Malaysians actually pay. Every figure in the tables below is a realised selling price from our own Chanel sales between December 2024 and August 2026, matched to the piece and the condition grade we gave it at the time. Nothing here is a listing price.
Two things to keep in mind while reading them. First, condition drives Chanel resale harder than any other variable — our grades run from 6/10 to 10/10, and the spread between them is explained on our condition grading page. Second, a pre-owned market is not a price list: what sold is what happened to be available, so some models are better represented than others, and we say so where the picture is thin.
Classic Flap, by size
Our Classic Flap sales over that period, grouped by size. The boutique column is the reported Malaysian price from the table above.
| Size | Boutique (reported) | Glampot sold range | Top price in the period |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mini, 7" / 8" (square / rectangular) | RM 24,500–25,550 | RM 7,386 – 24,000 | RM 24,000 — black shiny calfskin, GHW, 10/10, 2025 |
| Small, 9" (23 cm) | RM 51,080 | RM 10,500 – 35,000 | RM 35,000 — 22S caramel lambskin, 10/10, microchipped, 2025 |
| Medium / Large 11.12, 10" (25.5 cm) | RM 53,150 | RM 7,999 – 40,000 | RM 40,000 — black caviar, GHW, 10/10, 2025 |
| Jumbo, 12" (30 cm) | RM 57,280 | RM 6,861 – 22,079 | RM 22,079 — black caviar, SHW, 9/10, 2024 |
| Maxi, 13" (33 cm) | RM 60,370 | RM 9,800 – 22,660 | RM 22,660 — black caviar, GHW, 9/10, 2025 |
The saving grows with the bag. A Mini in black in near-new condition sold for RM 23,500–24,000 against a boutique price of about RM 25,550 — barely a discount. A Jumbo, the size where the boutique asks RM 57,280, has not cleared RM 20,000 with us since 2024 — though it regularly did in 2022 and 2023, as the price history below shows. The Maxi, the most expensive Classic Flap at the counter, consistently sells for less pre-owned than the Medium/Large that sits below it at retail.
Black caviar is its own market. Narrow the Jumbos to black caviar double flaps and the range tightens dramatically, to RM 14,649 – 22,079. Lambskin, patent, white and seasonal colours are what produce the RM 6,861–12,000 end of the table. The same pattern holds in every size.
Double flap beats single flap. Among the Jumbos, single-flap examples sold for RM 6,861–14,799 while double flaps ran RM 14,649–22,079 in comparable condition. It is the single most overlooked detail in Malaysian listings.
The Coco Handle has its own guide, with every size in cm and its own sold-price history — see our Chanel Coco Handle size guide.
The 2.55 Reissue: the steepest discount of any Chanel flap
The Reissue is the closest thing Chanel still sells to Gabrielle Chanel's original February 1955 bag. It was relaunched in 2005 for the design's fiftieth anniversary, and three details separate it from the Classic Flap: a rectangular Mademoiselle turn-lock in place of the interlocking CC, an all-metal chain with no leather threaded through it, and aged, distressed calfskin rather than caviar or lambskin. Every size is a double flap.
Reissue sizes are numbered, not named, and the number is close to the bag's width in centimetres.
| Size | Approximate width | Nearest Classic Flap size |
|---|---|---|
| 224 | 20 cm | between the 8" Mini and the 9" Small |
| 225 | 24 cm | Medium / Large, 10" |
| 226 | 28 cm | Jumbo, 12" |
| 227 | 31 cm | Maxi, 13" |
| 228 | 35 cm | discontinued |
At the boutique the Reissue is reported at broadly the same ringgit prices as the equivalent Classic Flap — around RM 53,150 for the 225 and RM 57,280 for the 226, on the same tracker figures as the table above. Pre-owned it is a very different bag. A 226 in black aged calfskin with gold hardware, graded 9/10, sold at Glampot for RM 14,614 in 2026 — roughly three-quarters below the boutique figure for a bag of that size, and the steepest discount of anything on this page.
Hardware is the exception. An iridescent chevron 226 with rainbow hardware, graded 8.5/10, sold for RM 30,359 in 2025 — more than double the plain black 226, for the same silhouette in a season collectors chase. With the Reissue, the finish is very nearly the price.
Why the gap is so wide. The aged calfskin is the point of the bag and also its problem on resale: it is made to look worn, which makes condition harder for a buyer to read and the leather less forgiving over years of use. The Reissue has also never had the Classic Flap's mass recognition in Malaysia — fewer buyers are looking for it, and the ones who are tend to know exactly which season they want. If you like the 1955 silhouette, the Reissue is the most Chanel your ringgit will buy pre-owned. If resale value matters more to you than the look, buy the Classic Flap.
The rest of the range
| Model | Boutique (reported) | Glampot sold range |
|---|---|---|
| 2.55 Reissue, 226 | RM 57,280 | RM 14,614 – 30,359 |
| Boy (small to new medium) | RM 31,480–36,650 | RM 5,999 – 23,990 |
| Chanel 19 | RM 33,550–39,990 | RM 14,719 – 16,553 |
| Chanel 22, mini | RM 25,550 | RM 11,699 – 17,000 |
| Trendy CC (mini and small) | not listed by our source | RM 11,959 – 17,699 |
| Classic Wallet on Chain, black caviar | RM 17,700 | RM 3,679 – 13,000 |
| Boy Wallet on Chain | not listed by our source | RM 5,619 – 12,600 |
| Grand Shopping Tote (GST, discontinued) | no longer sold | RM 2,799 – 10,339 |
| Card holders and flap card cases | not listed by our source | RM 1,199 – 3,499 |
| Long and flap wallets | not listed by our source | RM 499 – 4,999 |
The Boy has the widest spread of any Chanel line we sell. A microchipped New Medium in black caviar graded 9/10 sold for RM 23,990 in 2026; pleated, stitched and seasonal calfskin Boys in 7.5–8/10 sold for RM 5,999–7,526. Same model, four times the price. If you are buying a Boy to keep its value, the answer is black caviar in the best grade you can afford; if you are buying one to carry hard, a seasonal calfskin is the cheapest genuine Chanel bag on this page.
Small leather goods swing just as hard. A classic black caviar card holder graded 10/10 sold for RM 3,440–3,499; the same model at 8/10 sold for RM 1,499. A classic black caviar WOC at 9/10 reached RM 13,000, while a 7.5/10 example sold for RM 3,679. With small pieces, condition is very nearly the whole price.
The Chanel 19 is thin here. It reaches us rarely: a small in caramel lambskin at RM 16,553 (9.5/10, 2025) and a maxi in black lambskin at RM 14,719 (8.5/10, 2025). That is enough to show the shape of the market and not enough to call a range with confidence, so we have not pretended otherwise.
How Chanel Resale Prices Have Moved, 2019–2026
The tables above cover our sales from December 2024 to August 2026. Our records go back further — every Chanel piece sold through Glampot since 2019 — and the longer view changes how today's prices should be read. Pre-owned Chanel did not rise in a straight line. It climbed hard to a peak in 2022–2023 and has come down since.
The clearest way to see it is to follow one specification. Below is the typical (middle) selling price of a black caviar Classic Flap, double flap, in the two sizes we sell most, year by year. Seasonal colours, lambskin, vintage and single-flap examples are left out so the comparison is like for like.
| Year | Jumbo, 12" — typical sold price | Medium / Large, 10" — typical sold price |
|---|---|---|
| 2019 | RM 13,000 | RM 12,500 |
| 2020 | RM 18,700 | — |
| 2021 | RM 22,000 | RM 23,200 |
| 2022 | RM 31,600 | RM 25,500 |
| 2023 | RM 30,900 | RM 29,000 |
| 2024 | RM 22,500 | — |
| 2025 | RM 16,000 | RM 27,900 |
| 2026, to September | RM 18,500 | RM 18,000 |
The Jumbo more than doubled, then gave back about half. Same bag, same grade: a black caviar Jumbo graded 9/10 sold for RM 13,000 in 2019, RM 34,999 in 2023 and RM 19,928 in 2026. The turn came during 2024 — a 9/10 sold for RM 34,196 early in the year, while the year's last sales cleared at RM 18,399–22,079. Our highest Jumbo sale ever, a 22S dark pink caviar at 10/10, reached RM 40,000 in 2023. Since the start of 2025, no Jumbo has cleared RM 20,000 with us.
The Medium held up longer. The 10-inch in black caviar kept selling in the mid-to-high RM 20,000s through 2025, and a 10/10 example reached RM 40,000 in 2025. A 2026 sale at 8.5/10 went for RM 18,000. The 2026 picture is still thin, so treat it as a signal rather than a trend; we will update this table as more sales come through.
What it means for you. The rise lines up with the years Chanel raised boutique prices several times and demand for pre-owned luxury surged; the fall since 2024 lines up with that demand cooling. Whatever the cause, the practical points are the same:
- Buying: a black caviar Jumbo now sells for a little over half what the same bag fetched in 2022–2023 — back to roughly 2020 levels in our sales.
- Selling: a price based on what a friend got in 2022 or 2023 will be too high. Price against the last twelve months, which is what the tables above show.
- Keeping: even the Classic Flap is not a guaranteed store of value. Hermès has held up better over the same years — see the longer view in our Kelly vs Birkin guide.
Why the Gap Is What It Is
The distance between RM 57,280 and RM 17,000 is not a comment on the bag. Five things explain almost all of it.
1. The boutique price includes scarcity you cannot resell. Part of what Chanel charges is the experience of buying at the boutique and the queue in front of it. None of that transfers to the second owner.
2. Leather decides more than model. Caviar — grained calfskin — resists wear, so it holds value; lambskin scuffs, and the market prices it accordingly. Across our Classic Flap sales, caviar sits at the top of every size band and lambskin at the bottom.
3. Black with gold is the liquid combination. Seasonal colours sell, but they sell for less and take longer. The exception is a genuinely rare colourway in top condition, like the pink caviar Medium that sold for RM 24,600 in 2026, or the rainbow-hardware Reissue above.
4. Condition is priced steeply, not linearly. The jump from 8/10 to 9.5/10 is worth far more than the jump from 7/10 to 8/10. An unworn 10/10 piece can sell above the used market entirely — that is how a Medium 11.12 reached RM 40,000 in 2025.
5. Completeness and microchips. Box, authenticity card or microchip, dust bag and receipt add real money, most visibly on the pieces at the top of each range.
The verdict, September 2026. Buying a Chanel Classic Flap pre-owned in Malaysia saves roughly 50–70% against reported boutique retail on the Small and Medium/Large, and 60–75% on the Jumbo and Maxi. A black caviar Jumbo that costs about RM 57,280 new has sold at Glampot for RM 14,649–22,079; a Medium/Large at about RM 53,150 new has sold for RM 15,500–27,899 in normal used grades. The 2.55 Reissue discounts hardest of all — a 226 in black aged calfskin sold for RM 14,614 against a reported RM 57,280 new. The Mini is the exception at the other end — a black Mini in near-new condition sold for RM 23,500–24,000 against roughly RM 25,550 new, within about 10% of boutique. Malaysian boutique prices did not move in Chanel's April 2026 increase, which hit the US, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong.
How to Read a Pre-Owned Chanel Price Before You Buy
Ask for the size, not the adjective. 'Medium' is used in Malaysian listings for both the 9-inch Small and the 10-inch Medium/Large. Ask for the width across the base in inches: 7" or 8" (Mini), 9", 10", 12" or 13" settles it. Our Classic Flap size guide has every size in inches and cm. On a Reissue, ask for the number — 224, 225, 226 or 227.
Confirm the leather. Caviar and lambskin are priced differently enough that mistaking one for the other can cost several thousand ringgit. Caviar has a pebbled grain that catches light unevenly; lambskin is smooth and shows pressure marks; the Reissue's aged calfskin is matte and deliberately creased from new.
Single or double flap. Open the bag. A double flap has a second flap inside covering the main compartment. On a Jumbo, that detail alone has been worth several thousand ringgit in our sales.
Match the price to a grade, not to a photo. A price is only meaningful next to a condition grade and a list of what is included. If a seller will not give you both, the price is not comparable to anything on this page.
Insist on authentication. Every Chanel piece at Glampot is inspected by our in-house team and verified with Entrupy, and the certificate travels with the bag. Our Chanel authentication guide walks through the serials, hardware and stitching we check.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much is a Chanel bag in Malaysia in 2026?
At the boutique, a Classic Flap is reported at roughly RM 24,500 for a Mini, RM 51,080 for a Small, RM 53,150 for the Medium/Large, RM 57,280 for a Jumbo and RM 60,370 for a Maxi as of September 2026. Chanel shows Malaysian prices for some pieces online but not for the whole handbag range, so these come from Bragmybag's price tracker. Pre-owned, the same models have sold at Glampot for RM 6,861 to RM 40,000 depending on size, leather and condition.
Did Chanel raise prices in 2026?
Chanel increased prices on 2 April 2026 by about 2–5% in the US and 2–4% in Europe, with Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan also affected. Malaysian ringgit prices are reported as unchanged from 2025 — the M/L Classic Flap stayed at RM 53,150.
How much cheaper is a pre-owned Chanel bag in Malaysia?
Across Glampot's Classic Flap sales from December 2024 to August 2026, pre-owned prices ran roughly 50–70% below reported boutique retail for the Small and Medium/Large, and 60–75% below for the Jumbo and Maxi. The Mini is the exception, selling within about 10% of boutique price in near-new condition.
Is a Chanel 2.55 Reissue cheaper than a Classic Flap pre-owned?
Considerably. The Reissue costs about the same as the equivalent Classic Flap at the boutique, but a 226 in black aged calfskin graded 9/10 sold at Glampot for RM 14,614 in 2026, against a reported RM 57,280 new. Rare hardware changes that: an iridescent chevron 226 with rainbow hardware sold for RM 30,359.
What is the difference between a Chanel Reissue and a Classic Flap?
The Reissue uses a rectangular Mademoiselle turn-lock instead of the interlocking CC, an all-metal chain with no leather threaded through it, and aged distressed calfskin rather than caviar or lambskin. It is sized by number — 224, 225, 226, 227 — roughly matching the bag's width in centimetres.
Which Chanel bag holds its value best in Malaysia?
On our sales records, the Mini Classic Flap in black holds the highest share of its retail price, followed by the Medium/Large 11.12 in black caviar. The larger the flap, the steeper the discount: the Maxi is the most expensive Classic Flap new and sells for less second-hand than the Medium/Large.
Is caviar or lambskin worth more pre-owned?
Caviar. In every Classic Flap size band in our records, caviar examples sit at the top of the range and lambskin at the bottom, in comparable condition. Caviar's grained surface resists the scuffing and pressure marks that lambskin shows.
How much does a pre-owned Chanel Jumbo cost in Malaysia?
Jumbo Classic Flaps sold at Glampot between December 2024 and August 2026 for RM 6,861 to RM 22,079. Narrowed to black caviar double flaps, the range tightens to RM 14,649 – 22,079.
Have pre-owned Chanel prices gone down?
Yes, from a peak in 2022–2023. On Glampot's own sales, a black caviar Jumbo Classic Flap typically sold for about RM 13,000 in 2019, about RM 31,000 in 2022–2023, and about RM 16,000–18,500 in 2025–2026. The Medium/Large in black caviar held its level through 2025 — a 10/10 example sold for RM 40,000 in 2025 — before softening in 2026.
How much is a pre-owned Chanel WOC or card holder in Malaysia?
Classic black caviar Wallets on Chain sold for RM 3,679 to RM 13,000 depending on grade, and Boy Wallets on Chain for RM 5,619 to RM 12,600. Classic card holders and flap card cases sold for RM 1,199 to RM 3,499, with 10/10 examples at the top of that range.

Keeping this page honest. Prices here are correct as at September 2026, and we review this guide after each Chanel price adjustment. The boutique figures are the best public estimates available — Chanel publishes Malaysian prices for some pieces but not for the full handbag range — while every pre-owned figure comes from our own invoices.
