As of September 2026, a new Chanel Classic Flap in Malaysia is reported at about RM 51,080 for the Small, RM 53,150 for the Medium/Large and RM 57,280 for the Jumbo. The same bags, authenticated and pre-owned, have sold at Glampot for RM 15,500 to RM 27,899 (Medium/Large) and RM 10,579 to RM 19,928 (Jumbo). Chanel raised prices in the US and Europe on 2 April 2026 but left Malaysian ringgit prices unchanged. Below is every price we can verify — and what these bags actually change hands for here.
What a Chanel Bag Costs New in Malaysia (2026)
Chanel's Malaysian site shows prices for some pieces, but not for the full handbag range, and the house does not issue a complete price list — so there is no single published source for what every bag costs here. The figures below are from Bragmybag's Malaysia price tracker, read on 13 September 2026. Treat them as the market's best public estimate rather than a boutique quotation — if you are buying new, the counter at Pavilion, Suria KLCC or TRX is the only authority.

Did Chanel raise prices in 2026?
Yes — but not here. Chanel adjusted prices on 2 April 2026, lifting US prices by roughly 2–5% and European prices by 2–4%; the US Medium/Large Classic Flap went from US$11,300 to US$11,700. Malaysia was one of the markets left alone: the ringgit price of the M/L Classic Flap is reported as unchanged at RM 53,150 in both 2025 and 2026. Singapore and Hong Kong did see increases. So the often-repeated line that 'Chanel went up again this year' is true globally and false locally, at least for now.
What Chanel Actually Sells for Pre-Owned in Malaysia
Asking prices tell you what a seller hopes for. Sold prices tell you what Malaysians actually pay. Every figure in the tables below is a realised selling price from our own Chanel sales between December 2024 and August 2026, matched to the piece and the condition grade we gave it at the time. Nothing here is a listing price.
Two things to keep in mind while reading them. First, condition drives Chanel resale harder than any other variable — our grades run from 6/10 to 10/10, and the spread between them is explained on our condition grading page. Second, a pre-owned market is not a price list: what sold is what happened to be available, so some models are better represented than others, and we say so where the picture is thin.
Classic Flap, by size

The saving grows with the bag. A Mini in black in near-new condition sold for RM 23,500–24,000 against a boutique price of about RM 25,550 — barely a discount. A Jumbo, the size where the boutique asks RM 57,280, has never cleared RM 20,000 with us. The Maxi, the most expensive Classic Flap at the counter, consistently sells for less pre-owned than the Medium/Large that sits below it at retail.
Black caviar is its own market. Narrow the Jumbos to black caviar double flaps and the range tightens dramatically, to RM 14,649 – 19,928, whatever the year. Lambskin, patent, white and seasonal colours are what produce the RM 6,861–12,000 end of the table. The same pattern holds in every size.
Double flap beats single flap. Among the Jumbos, single-flap examples sold for RM 6,861–14,799 while double flaps ran RM 14,649–19,928 in comparable condition. It is the single most overlooked detail in Malaysian listings.

The 2.55 Reissue: the steepest discount of any Chanel flap
The Reissue is the closest thing Chanel still sells to Gabrielle Chanel's original February 1955 bag. It was relaunched in 2005 for the design's fiftieth anniversary, and three details separate it from the Classic Flap: a rectangular Mademoiselle turn-lock in place of the interlocking CC, an all-metal chain with no leather threaded through it, and aged, distressed calfskin rather than caviar or lambskin. Every size is a double flap.
Reissue sizes are numbered, not named, and the number is close to the bag's width in centimetres.

At the boutique the Reissue is reported at broadly the same ringgit prices as the equivalent Classic Flap — around RM 53,150 for the 225 and RM 57,280 for the 226, on the same tracker figures as the table above. Pre-owned it is a very different bag. A 226 in black aged calfskin with gold hardware, graded 9/10, sold at Glampot for RM 14,614 in 2026 — roughly three-quarters below the boutique figure for a bag of that size, and the steepest discount of anything on this page.
Hardware is the exception. An iridescent chevron 226 with rainbow hardware, graded 8.5/10, sold for RM 30,359 in 2025 — more than double the plain black 226, for the same silhouette in a season collectors chase. With the Reissue, the finish is very nearly the price.
Why the gap is so wide. The aged calfskin is the point of the bag and also its problem on resale: it is made to look worn, which makes condition harder for a buyer to read and the leather less forgiving over years of use. The Reissue has also never had the Classic Flap's mass recognition in Malaysia — fewer buyers are looking for it, and the ones who are tend to know exactly which season they want. If you like the 1955 silhouette, the Reissue is the most Chanel your ringgit will buy pre-owned. If resale value matters more to you than the look, buy the Classic Flap.

The Boy has the widest spread of any Chanel line we sell. A microchipped New Medium in black caviar graded 9/10 sold for RM 23,990 in 2026; pleated, stitched and seasonal calfskin Boys in 7.5–8/10 sold for RM 5,999–7,526. Same model, four times the price. If you are buying a Boy to keep its value, the answer is black caviar in the best grade you can afford; if you are buying one to carry hard, a seasonal calfskin is the cheapest genuine Chanel bag on this page.
Small leather goods swing just as hard. A classic black caviar card holder graded 10/10 sold for RM 3,440–3,499; the same model at 8/10 sold for RM 1,499. A classic black caviar WOC at 9/10 reached RM 13,000, while a 7.5/10 example sold for RM 3,679. With small pieces, condition is very nearly the whole price.
The Chanel 19 is thin here. It reaches us rarely: a small in caramel lambskin at RM 16,553 (9.5/10, 2025) and a maxi in black lambskin at RM 14,719 (8.5/10, 2025). That is enough to show the shape of the market and not enough to call a range with confidence, so we have not pretended otherwise.
Why the Gap Is What It Is
The distance between RM 57,280 and RM 17,000 is not a comment on the bag. Five things explain almost all of it.
1. The boutique price includes scarcity you cannot resell. Part of what Chanel charges is the experience of buying at the boutique and the queue in front of it. None of that transfers to the second owner.
2. Leather decides more than model. Caviar — grained calfskin — resists wear, so it holds value; lambskin scuffs, and the market prices it accordingly. Across our Classic Flap sales, caviar sits at the top of every size band and lambskin at the bottom.
3. Black with gold is the liquid combination. Seasonal colours sell, but they sell for less and take longer. The exception is a genuinely rare colourway in top condition, like the pink caviar Medium that sold for RM 24,600 in 2026, or the rainbow-hardware Reissue above.
4. Condition is priced steeply, not linearly. The jump from 8/10 to 9.5/10 is worth far more than the jump from 7/10 to 8/10. An unworn 10/10 piece can sell above the used market entirely — that is how a Medium 11.12 reached RM 40,000 in 2025.
5. Completeness and microchips. Box, authenticity card or microchip, dust bag and receipt add real money, most visibly on the pieces at the top of each range.
The verdict, September 2026. Buying a Chanel Classic Flap pre-owned in Malaysia saves roughly 50–70% against reported boutique retail on the Small and Medium/Large, and 60–75% on the Jumbo and Maxi. A black caviar Jumbo that costs about RM 57,280 new has sold at Glampot for RM 14,649–19,928; a Medium/Large at about RM 53,150 new has sold for RM 15,500–27,899 in normal used grades. The 2.55 Reissue discounts hardest of all — a 226 in black aged calfskin sold for RM 14,614 against a reported RM 57,280 new. The Mini is the exception at the other end — a black Mini in near-new condition sold for RM 23,500–24,000 against roughly RM 25,550 new, within about 10% of boutique. Malaysian boutique prices did not move in Chanel's April 2026 increase, which hit the US, Europe, Singapore and Hong Kong.
How to Read a Pre-Owned Chanel Price Before You Buy
Ask for the size, not the adjective. 'Medium' is used in Malaysian listings for both the 20 cm Small and the 25 cm Medium/Large. Ask for the width across the base: 20 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm or 33 cm settles it. On a Reissue, ask for the number — 224, 225, 226 or 227.
Confirm the leather. Caviar and lambskin are priced differently enough that mistaking one for the other can cost several thousand ringgit. Caviar has a pebbled grain that catches light unevenly; lambskin is smooth and shows pressure marks; the Reissue's aged calfskin is matte and deliberately creased from new.
Single or double flap. Open the bag. A double flap has a second flap inside covering the main compartment. On a Jumbo, that detail alone has been worth several thousand ringgit in our sales.
Match the price to a grade, not to a photo. A price is only meaningful next to a condition grade and a list of what is included. If a seller will not give you both, the price is not comparable to anything on this page.
