Look up "Medium Lady Dior dimensions" and you will find at least three different answers: 24 × 20 × 11 cm, 9.25 × 8 × 5 inches, 9.5 × 8 × 4.5 inches. None of them is a fake. They are the same bag, measured by different people, in different production years, rounded in different directions. That is fine for a mood board. It is not fine when you are about to pay five figures for a bag you have only seen in photos.
This guide uses Dior's own published measurements, read from Dior's product pages in September 2026, for all five current Lady Dior sizes — Micro, Mini, Small, Medium and Large — with Dior's reference codes, strap and handle drops, what each size actually holds, and what each costs new at Dior Malaysia versus what Lady Diors have really sold for pre-owned at Glampot.
The Short Answer: Lady Dior Sizes at a Glance
Dior lists its bags as length × height × width, where "length" is the side-to-side measurement most people call width, and "width" is the depth. The table below keeps Dior's order.

The inch figures are Dior's own conversions, which round to the nearest quarter or half inch. The Small Lady Dior My ABCDior (M0538) uses the same 20 × 18 × 8 cm body as the Small; what changes is the strap, covered below.
Why the Numbers Online Don't Match
If you have been comparing guides, you will have noticed the disagreement. Fashionphile lists the Medium at approximately 9.25 × 8 × 5 inches; Rebag at 9.5 × 8 × 4.5 inches; Luxury Evermore at 24 × 20 × 11 cm. Dior's own Medium page today says 24 × 21 × 12 cm.
Three things explain the gap. Resellers measure the bags that pass through their hands, which span decades of production. Dior quotes the bag as manufactured, not as carried — lambskin relaxes with use and a well-loved Medium can read a centimetre off in height or depth. And everyone rounds differently. The length (side to side) is the one number almost everyone agrees on: 12, 17, 20, 24 and 32 cm. If you remember nothing else, remember those five.

What fits, according to Dior: Micro — a card holder and lipstick. Mini — a phone, a card holder and lipstick. Small — a wallet, a phone and sunglasses. Medium — a wallet, a phone, a card holder and sunglasses. Large — a 13-inch laptop, a wallet, a phone, a card holder and sunglasses.
Two practical points. First, every current Lady Dior can be worn crossbody — all five come with a shoulder strap, and on the Mini it is a chain. Second, the handle drop is short across the range: 2 to 4 inches. Lady Diors are carried in the hand or the crook of the arm, not over the shoulder by the handles.
Every Size, Size by Size
Micro Lady Dior — S0856 (12 × 11 × 5 cm / 4.75 × 4.5 × 2 in)
The smallest Lady Dior, and genuinely small: 12 cm across, shorter than a modern smartphone. Dior's own description is that it takes a card holder and a lipstick, and that is honest — a phone will not go in. At 300 g it is closer to a piece of jewellery than a bag, and it is bought as exactly that: a statement worn crossbody, over a coat, or as a second bag. If you need your phone with you, look at the Mini.
Mini Lady Dior — M0505 (17 × 15 × 7 cm / 6.5 × 6 × 3 in)
Of the five current black lambskin sizes, the Mini is the only one that comes on a chain rather than a strap, with a 58 cm (23") drop — long enough to wear crossbody on most frames. It takes a phone, a card holder and a lipstick. It is five centimetres wider than the Micro, which is exactly the difference between "cannot hold a phone" and "can".
Small Lady Dior — M0531 (20 × 18 × 8 cm / 8 × 7 × 3 in)
The Small is where the Lady Dior starts to work as an everyday bag. A compact wallet, a phone and sunglasses fit, per Dior, and the 8 cm handle drop is comfortable in the hand. At 800 g it is noticeably lighter than the Medium.
Small vs My ABCDior. The Small Lady Dior My ABCDior (M0538) shares the Small's 20 × 18 × 8 cm body. The difference is the strap: a wider 3.5 cm adjustable strap designed to carry letter badges — up to six, with three included — in place of the Small's thin strap. On the resale market the two are often listed interchangeably as "Small", so check which strap is in the photos.
Medium Lady Dior — M0565 (24 × 21 × 12 cm / 9.5 × 8.5 × 4.5 in)
The Lady Dior everyone pictures, and the one we sell most of by a wide margin — more than half of the modern Lady Dior handbags we sold between January 2024 and September 2026 were Mediums. The jump from the Small matters more than the 4 cm of length suggests: the Medium is 12 cm deep against the Small's 8, which is why a full wallet, a phone, a card holder and sunglasses all go in without straining the shape. At 1 kg empty it is a bag you feel by the end of the day, but it is still carried comfortably in the hand.
If you are buying one Lady Dior and have no strong view, this is the one: most versatile, and the easiest to find pre-owned in the colour you want.
Large Lady Dior — M0566 (32 × 25 × 12 cm / 12.5 × 10 × 4.5 in)
The Large is a different bag in character: 8 cm longer than the Medium but the same 12 cm depth, so it reads as a wide, structured tote rather than a scaled-up Medium. Dior says it takes a 13-inch laptop. It is the work-bag Lady Dior, and at 1.2 kg empty it is best in the hand or on the strap rather than the forearm. At the time of writing, the Large is listed on Dior's US and UK sites but not on Dior Malaysia's website.
Which Lady Dior Size Should You Buy?
If you carry a card holder and a lipstick — the Micro. It is a statement accessory, not a daily bag.
If you need your phone for evenings and weddings — the Mini. The chain strap makes it the easiest to wear hands-free.
If you want an everyday Lady Dior that stays light — the Small. Wallet, phone and sunglasses, at 800 g.
If you want the definitive Lady Dior and can only own one — the Medium. The depth is the reason, and it is the size the resale market is built around.
If it has to carry a laptop — the Large, and on the resale market it is also the best value of the five.
What Each Size Costs in Malaysia: Boutique vs Pre-Owned
Unlike Chanel, Dior publishes ringgit prices on its Malaysian website, so the boutique column below is Dior's own figure for the black Cannage lambskin version, read in September 2026. The pre-owned column is what Lady Dior handbags actually sold for at Glampot between January 2024 and September 2026 — realised prices from our own sales records, not asking prices.

Pre-owned figures cover bags in all leathers and condition grades from 6/10 to 9.5/10, so the ranges are wide on purpose. Vintage nylon and older-production Lady Diors are shown separately below.
Black lambskin is its own market. Narrow our Medium sales to black Cannage lambskin and the range tightens from RM 2,943–13,000 to RM 6,861–13,000, with a median of RM 10,000 — about 68% below Dior Malaysia's RM 31,500 for the same bag new. Patent Mediums sold lower, RM 4,599–8,999 (median RM 5,000), and bright colours such as fuchsia mostly between RM 4,050 and RM 6,579.
The smaller the bag, the more of its price it holds. Compared with Dior Malaysia's current prices, our typical sale was roughly 52% below boutique on the Micro, 56% below on the Mini, 64% below on the Small and 68% below on the black lambskin Medium. The Large, at a median of RM 4,583, is the cheapest way into a genuine Lady Dior leather bag. The same pattern holds for Chanel's Classic Flap: the small sizes hold value, the big ones discount hardest.
Vintage is a separate price band. Older Lady Diors in quilted nylon and vintage lambskin sold for RM 1,099 – 4,999 in the same period (median RM 1,899). They are a genuine way to own the silhouette, but price them as vintage — not as a discounted current bag.
A fair caveat: Dior's prices are for a new bag today, while our sales include bags from many production years. The comparison shows what a pre-owned buyer typically pays against the current boutique price — not the exact depreciation on any one bag.
How to Confirm a Lady Dior's Size Before You Buy Pre-Owned
Ask for the length in centimetres. 12, 17, 20, 24 or 32. Ask the seller to lay a tape measure along the base and photograph it. Front-on photos with nothing for scale are how a Small gets listed as a Medium.
Check the depth. It is the number that separates the Small (8 cm) from the Medium (12 cm), and it decides what actually fits.
Look at the strap. A chain means Mini. A wide 3.5 cm strap, often with badges, means My ABCDior. A thin leather strap means Small, Medium or Large.
Match the reference if there is a receipt. Dior's reference — S0856, M0505, M0531, M0538, M0565 or M0566 — appears on the product page and on paperwork from the boutique. Note that the code on the small leather tab inside the bag is a production code, not a size code.
Confirm the leather. Lambskin, patent, calfskin and exotic versions of the same size sell for very different prices, as the table above shows.

A Short History: Why It Is Called the Lady Dior
The bag was designed in 1994 under Gianfranco Ferré. In 1995 France's First Lady, Bernadette Chirac, gave one to Diana, Princess of Wales, in Paris; Diana carried it so often that Dior renamed it the Lady Dior in her honour. The quilted Cannage stitching is taken from the Napoléon III chairs Christian Dior used to seat guests at his couture shows, and the dangling D.I.O.R. charms have been its signature ever since.

Does a phone fit in the Micro Lady Dior?
Generally no. Dior says the Micro holds a card holder and a lipstick. If you want your phone inside, the Mini is the smallest size Dior says fits one.
Is the Small Lady Dior the same as the My ABCDior?
